Scope of Project: Golden Triangle will be the subcontractor of Allegheny Excavating and will install a Precast Concrete Arch System beneath SR228. This 150’ long tunnel will connect the I-79 ramp with Cranberry Springs Drive and reduce traffic congestion on SR228. Before construction of the tunnel, Golden Triangle will build a temporary shoring wall for the excavation of the tunnel. In addition to the tunnel, Golden Triangle will pour curb, islands, and also pave the concrete on both sides of the tunnel. Sidewalks and bike lane will also be installed to make the area more pedestrian friendly.
